Respected Sir,
As the order was not in my possession during the period of limitation prescribed under section 291(5) of the Income Tax Act, 2023, the appeal could not be filed within time. The delay was neither intentional nor due to any negligence on my part.
I sincerely regret the delay. I have a strong case on merit, and refusal to condone the delay would cause me irreparable loss.
I, therefore, pray that your honour would kindly condone the delay in filing the appeal and admit the same for hearing on merit.
